On Wednesday, 4th June, we had a casual dress up day raising money for the story dog program. Our Story Dog Casual Dress Day was a wonderful success, with students coming together to support the Story Dog program. A big thank you to everyone who contributed a gold coin donation—your generosity helps bring the joy of reading to more children. Your kindness and enthusiasm make a real difference in our community!
Indigenous Institute of Wellbeing and Sport
This program is a fantastic initiative, fostering cultural connection and educational success for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. By engaging positive Indigenous role models, it not only enhances learning but also supports social and emotional well-being. The inclusion of traditional language, art, and games ensures a rich and immersive experience, strengthening ties between families, communities, and schools.
Faction Cross Country Carnival
The faction cross-country carnival was a fantastic event, showcasing the dedication and spirit of our students. A huge thank you to our staff, parents, and student leaders for their support in making the day run smoothly. Special appreciation goes to our sports teacher, Raema Stanford, for her hard work in organizing and inspiring our athletes. Your efforts made this event a great success—well done, everyone!
Artist in Residence - Year 4-6 Student
Our Year 4-6 students had an incredible opportunity to work with artist Yondee Shane Hansen during our artist-in-residency program, creating a stunning Aboriginal mural depicting the Birak season. This experience not only deepened their understanding of Indigenous culture but also allowed them to contribute to a meaningful and lasting artwork. A huge thank you to Yondee Shane Hansen for his guidance and inspiration throughout this project, and special appreciation to Mrs Brook for her efforts in organizing this wonderful experience for our students!

In term 1, S4 explored the topic of architecture. This included what it is, why it is important, how it connects with different types of people, differences around the world, and some of its history. We also looked at some famous buildings around the world and even made Notre Dame out of Lego as a class (come to S4 to see it).
At the end, students got to write a description of their dream building, and we used AI to create an image of the building for them!
You can see all the students' dream buildings here, as well as their descriptions that match the pictures.
Which building is your favourite?

Thank you to the 60+ dads and kids who joined in the Mini Golf event on 24 June 2025. It was a great event and fun day out. It was good to see dads and kids having fun together, followed by a sausage sizzle, some great social catch-ups and meeting new people.
