Interschool Carnival

On Wednesday the Jumps, Throws and 400m team got us off to a great start last week.

On Thursday the individual sprints went brilliantly, with all competitors placing in their event.  In the team games we had mixed results - the flag races and relays were done superbly. A couple of times we made mistakes but the teams never gave up and worked hard to get back into a placing position. To cap it all off we won the Grand relay. Well done team!

Thanks to our team managers, helpers and staff who assisted at the carnival. Extra special thanks to Clancy from Wesley College - he has been assisting with PE classes on a weekly basis and was the starter at the carnival. He did a fantastic job.

Congratulations to our individual medallion winners in Finn Year 3 runner-up champion boy, Parker Year 4 champion girl, Isabel Year 4 runner-up champion girl, James Year 5 champion boy and Sam Year 6 runner-up champion boy.

Thanks to all the parents who came and supported our team.

Sporting Schools

All students from Pre-primary to Year 6 have participated in basketball sessions in their PE lessons funded by Sporting Schools. This enables us to have an extra coach to assist with lessons and buy more basketball equipment. We have received funding for next term. The plan is for the Year 3 students to complete a Bike education program and also to have an extra coach to assist with tennis sessions in our PE lessons.

Running Club

Running Club is over for another term. Thanks to all the parents who have assisted over the term. We will recommence Week 4 and run through until Week 8. Keep running over the holidays.

Winter Sport

Congratulations to many of our students who have recently competed in grand finals in basketball, netball, AFL, hockey and soccer. It is great to see so many of our students involved in weekend community sport.
